ORGANIZATION AT A GLANCE

Karmayogi Abasaheb Kakade, a lawyer by profession and a devout follower of Saint Gadage Baba, dedicated his life to significant social work. Inspired by the success of a boarding school in Ahmednagar, he resolved to extend similar educational and social initiatives to the Shevgaon and Pathardi tehsils. Responding to pleas from villages in the region, Kakade initiated boarding and learning facilities for children, particularly focusing on the educationally marginalized communities.

Deeply concerned about the plight of illiterate and oppressed communities, Kakade established several NGOs, including The Friends of Depressed League, Shevgaon (1933), Navamaharashtra Shikshan Mandal Shevgaon, and Rashtriya Shikshan Mandal. His vision aimed at opening the doors of literacy to the impoverished and downtrodden, providing them with opportunities for education and empowerment.

Through boarding houses and schools in Shevgaon, Pathardi, and Karjat, Karmayogi Abasaheb Kakade reached out to the children of poor laborers, farm workers, and cane workers—individuals often neglected by society. These institutions became beacons of hope, offering learning opportunities to those in need and recognizing their potential.

Over time, Karmayogi Abasaheb Kakade's initiatives blossomed into the Abasaheb Kakade Group of Institutes, a renowned educational group esteemed for its commitment to quality education in the Ahmednagar district. Through his tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, Kakade not only transformed the educational landscape but also uplifted countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of empowerment and enlightenment. Today, his vision continues to guide the institutions he founded, ensuring that his noble mission of education for all remains alive and thriving.
